30th April 2010: Cake Aux Fruits (Light Fruit Cake)




You must be wondering what's the difference with a light fruit cake and is there anything such as the dark fruit cake? Well, guess what? There is a difference.

The light fruit cake is basically made of light color ingredients such as crystallized sugar, light corn syrups, golden raisins and everything light. Meanwhile, the dark fruit cake main's ingredients would be molasses, brown sugar, prunes or sultana & etc. So don't be surprised if you see a light colored fruit cake and wonder if this is the traditional fruit cake. It is!
