Ewen...Ewen.. It's always a scratch when I've got to come up ideas and cake designs for dear friends. And when, it's for the buddies - it makes the whole decision a little more tougher than usual. As for the norms, customers would always give us a preference ..the line guideline that the cake artist don't do something they don't expect. Then we'd work our magic and surprise our clients.
But for dear Ewen, what should it be? Racing with nick of time, I had no choice but to shrink a big idea into a loaf size cake. Yeap, you heard me right! It's only the size of a loaf.
I wanted Ewen in his natural birth form without giving him the excess shock which he definitely won't need after so much of drinking (He'd be painting the town really red)
Hence the design, he sitting in a tub would be perfectos! Firstly, I don't have much time running between two jobs. Secondly, birthday goes well with birth suits. It wasn't really meant to be erotic till I added in the edible private sector.
Oh well, I had the extra skin tone in hand and thought what the heck! Let's put in the hammer to the tub. Still, Ewen complained it was a little wee too tiny. Haha! What was he expecting? A whale in the tub?
So sorry Ewen.. I'd bear in mind to focus on the whale the next year around.
